• Classes Forming Announcement

    NOTICE: Eight spots available in the Copper Foil classes.  Eight spots available in the Lead Came classes.

    Classes are now forming for the months of July and August, 2019.  Class details and specific dates are listed below. 

    Early registration is required.  Class size is limited to eight attendees!

    To register for our classes, please contact us and I will send you a link to our Registration & Payment webpage if class space is still available. 

    Refund Policy - Tuition will be 100% refunded if requested two weeks prior to class beginning.  If requested less than two weeks, tuition will be 50% refunded.

    *It is highly recommended that the Beginner Level Copper Foil class be taken as a prelude to the Advanced Level Lead Came class.  Detail to basic skills and techniques are discussed and practiced during the Beginner Copper Foil class.

  • Copper Foil Class - Class dates are July 27 & August 3, 2019 at 8:00am - 3:30pm.  Tuition is $90.00.  If taking both Copper Foil and Lead Came classes, tuition is $180.00.  That is a $10.00 discount!

  • Lead Came Class - Class dates are August 17 & 24, 2019 at 8:00am - 3:30pm.  Tuition is $100.00.  If taking both Copper Foil and Lead Came classes, tuition is $180.00.  That is a $10.00 discount!

  • Copper Foil Class

    Beginner Level Copper Foil classes will consist of two consecutive Saturdays that will instruct students on the procedure of the copper foil method.  Each attendee will select a design from our file of class designs (see Copper Foil Designs) and will create a stained glass panel that measures around 12 inches (smaller if requested) and will be theirs to keep.  Also each attendee will be given instruction on history, tool usage, design theory, etc. of stained glass.  Each attendee will also receive a folder of all class instructions as a resource booklet for future personal reference.  All supplies are furnished.

    Class agenda consists of:

    • Brief lecture on history of stained glass and its origins(s)
    • Glossary of stained glass terminology with definitions
    • Tools and supplies and their usage
    • Design principles
    • Color selections theory
    • Types of stained glass
    • Vendors of stained glass
    • Safety
    • Scoring glass with exercises
    • Using a pattern for scoring glass
    • Creating a copper foil panel
    • Trouble-shooting hints

     

  • Lead Came Class

    Advanced Level Lead Came classes will consist of two consecutive Saturdays that will instruct students on the procedure of the lead came method.  Each attendee will select a design from our file of class designs (see Lead Came Designs) and will create a stained glass panel that measures around 12 inches (smaller if requested) and will be theirs to keep.  Also each attendee will be given instruction on types of lead, tool usage, design theory using lead, etc. of stained glass.  Each attendee will receive copies of all class instructions as a resource for personal reference.  All supplies are furnished.

    • Safety
    • Using a pattern
